For families facing the necessity, or those considering the possibility, of transferring agencies there are two questions we are often asked:
Which Agency is right for me?
Our Family Service staff is a wealth of information for you as you begin exploring the possibility of becoming a CFN foster parent. Call the branch office closest to you: Austin, Brownwood, Kerrville/San Antonio or Killeen.
As you learn about CFN, it is our hope that you will come to see the world the way we do - through the eyes of the children we serve. By doing this, we understand the importance of providing the highest level of quality support services to our foster families. These are the qualities that make CFN such a unique agency.
How Difficult Is The Process?
This is an important question. The answer is as varied as the families we support. The process is designed to prepare you for the challenges (and rewards) of becoming a foster parent.
If you are an experienced foster parent and have a current home study that meets Minimum Standards and you are up-to-date on your training, the transfer process can be completed quickly and easily.
If your home study needs to be updated or you need additional training, the process is a little more involved. Contact the CFN Family Services staff for an initial consultation and more detailed information.
